Dens Model Ships

This is a Model Ship of a 64-Gun British Warship. A one-of-a-kind, model built in 2005-2006, made out of chestnut wood, the model is 100% scratch built by the model ship builder of Dens Model Ships, Den Holmes The scale of the model is 1/96 and measures 27" (L) x 12" (W), and 25" (H). It has 5 diverse deck levels with a plank-on-frame structure, some of the hull and deck planks were delibertly left off the model to show how the ship was constructed. A total of 1,175 working hours were invested over it to create this ship model, which is made up of over 10,000 pieces and has over 61 feet of rigging. All the shrouds, and the standing rigging were made by hand on a ropewalk.
