Dawn, I am curious about this rock wall. Did you ever find out the history about it? Is it a foundation from some buildings from long ago? I am always intrigued by "the remains" of the past.

Very observent! Yep, and on the second Saturday (May-October, I think) it's open to the public. I stood out on the walkway one gusty morning taking in an awesome view!

Having never been to this lighthouse, I loved the red paint on the wrap around railing that matches its top. She is a "red hatter", eh?

Nice composition shot, Dawn. It is a special light for us too. Vacation 1994 was one of firsts: 1st Great Lake, 1st Lighthouse, 1st Freighter (AMA). 2006 & we are still enjoying (addicted to)them all:-)
