Royal Military College ( RMC) Kingston By Jim Winsor

RMC photos

Very nice photos of RMC. I thought I might add that the tower in the pictures is known as a Martello Tower: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martello_tower

Thanks Jim. I'm not a military historian by any means. I just keep running across this stuff while chasing boats and trains and realized it is pretty unique. If you are ever in Rock Island, ILL check out the artillery display at the arsenal.

Steam Train Festival - 2009

Observation Car from train of SP 4449

This car is obviously mislabeled as an SP Daylight car. It is a Milwaukee Road Skytop Observation. I cannot tell which one as several of these have been saved.

Looks like there were 2 in Cadillac near the throat of North Yard, based on the map drawing of Cadillac Zone E.

It is hard to imagine that all of that went on when I was a kid visiting the area during vacations. I remember watching the Chief with my dad a few times. I wish I had owned a camera back then. Now it is shopping areas, restaurants, and hotels. Great pictures! I would love to see more.
