Steam Train Festival - 2009

Observation Car from train of SP 4449

This car is obviously mislabeled as an SP Daylight car. It is a Milwaukee Road Skytop Observation. I cannot tell which one as several of these have been saved.

Looks like there were 2 in Cadillac near the throat of North Yard, based on the map drawing of Cadillac Zone E.

It is hard to imagine that all of that went on when I was a kid visiting the area during vacations. I remember watching the Chief with my dad a few times. I wish I had owned a camera back then. Now it is shopping areas, restaurants, and hotels. Great pictures! I would love to see more.

Thanks for the comments Mr. Huff. I believe that the Also S4 #1519 is also still around, on the DuBois County Railroad in Indiana (the freight operation associated with the Indiana Railway Museum.) However that was a lease unit, not a MIGN owned engine.
